Recruitment Challenges in the UK
The UK labour market is large but highly inefficient. The Office for National Statistics reported around 916,000 job vacancies in early [2024 ons.gov.uk] , a high level even after recent declines yet employers often struggle to fill them. Indeed found that 55% of job applications go unanswered [hrreview.co.uk] , leaving candidates in limbo and eroding morale. How It Started
Our journey began in the UK with a simple observation. In the UK, there are top universities, a high quality of education, too many capable people, but still struggling to get hired.
We noticed that a large number of candidates were being rejected before they even had a chance to speak with an employer. The majority of these rejections were happening during the CV screening stage.
To understand the problem better, we spoke with hundreds of people. We interviewed university students looking for their first opportunity, students searching for part-time jobs, and experienced professionals who were trying to make a career change. At the same time, we had conversations with business owners, industry experts, and HR professionals.
What we discovered was clear: the hiring process was broken on both sides.
Candidates were struggling to present themselves effectively, while employers were overwhelmed with inefficient tools and time-consuming processes.
What We Do Now
We analysed the insights and data carefully to identify the key bottlenecks in the hiring process.
We found that while some solutions existed in the market, they were fragmented and disconnected. Employers and candidates often had to jump between multiple platforms, which reduced efficiency and increased costs. In many cases, the tools available were also expensive and overly complicated.
Instead of simply replicating what already existed, we decided to rebuild the process from the ground up.
We developed better software solutions for both candidates and employers, including tools that previously did not exist in the market. Our platform integrates AI to handle repetitive and time-consuming tasks, allowing people to focus on decisions that truly require human insight.
By combining smarter technology with better product design, we are making the hiring process simpler, faster, and more effective.
